Plumprandy no offence buddy but you clearly don’t understand third party grading for collectors in coin grading. for one thing slabs are permintantly sealed and never tarnish and offer the best proection for high volume coins and having this as a (grade70) first strike or not. (which yes firststrike desgination is technically a crock) but not grading the coin and having a ms70grade makes the coin worth much more value then having it in its original casing ungraded by a proffesional..

You agree First Stike is crock but not fraud? Please google, you will be disgusted.

First Strike is a crock, I will agree with you on that. Bud you’re dead wrong on the “FRAUD” aspect.

Grading a coin that is encapsulated from Mint is FRAUD. Google “First Strike” or “Grading Fraud” and see for yourself. Grading a old coin is exceptable. Why dont the U.S.Mint hire third party graders to make sure they make good coin? It is consumer THEFT.

Because it was graded. Grading services will remove it from the case, evaluate is very closely with high power microscopes, then seal it in a better case with a serial number authenticating the grade the coin receives.
